PALACE GAME: Round 3
You open your eyes—
You're standing in the vast lobby of a corporate building, facing the reception desk, where a Team Galactic Grunt is stationed—she's currently on the phone, though, and occupied. A few other grunts move through the lobby, looking as if they're on their way to their next assignment. All of them look identical. And if you watch their paths for a while, none of them actually end up leaving the room.
The walls are a bright, metallic, sterile blue with white, and the floor is made up of gleaming silver metal tiles emblazoned here and there with a gold logo. The reception desk is slightly to your right, and to the left of that there are three doors in the far wall in front of you.
To the right of the reception desk, there's a little area with a vending machine, a large ottoman to sit on, a potted plant, and . . . a dotaku? With a face? It's sitting resting on the floor next to the vending machine, and it's staring right at you with those red eyes.
Directly to your right, closer to the front door, there is a glowing green circle on the floor with a sign on the wall next to it.
What will you d—
Wait. Your phone is buzzing. Whether or not you had it with you back in the prison, you do now, whether in your pocket, in your hand, whatever. It's on your person, and it's vibrating demandingly for attention. If you choose to ignore it, a mechanical voice emanating from it begins literally saying the word buzz! buzzzzzz! buuuzzzzzz! in an increasingly irritated tone.
Check your phone?

The attendant at the nearest desk looks up when you enter and flashes a welcoming smile at you.

She turns behind the counter to the Pokeballs section and grabs a fancy, sleek ball that looks like this.

She turns back around with a smile and a ball in each hand. Oops. Goods cost money, and luxury goods cost the most money of all!

Ah, I should have informed Commander Saturn that I was personally short on funds...

She tips her head with interest at the name.

She looks uncertain, though.
"Maybe if you bring me a note signed by him. Prove you're telling the truth!"

[ A stray tentacle slides Kleken a piece of paper, illusioning it into a proper item request form as he hands it over. Kleken when did you learn how to forge Saturn's writin- ]

Kleken when did you—
She's bagging up the Luxury Balls and handing them over. You conman, you.

She totally just gave the name of her least favorite coworker in case this guy is going to file a complaint.
"Please, enjoy shopping at Sinnoh's biggest department store! We pride ourselves on our selection and service! The fifth floor is currently under construction, but the others are all open for your perusal!"
no subject
Oh? What's being constructed on that floor?

"It's . . . they're making a lot of changes to the store these days. I'm just an employee. I don't really understand what they're doing. But it's fine! You can visit the TM Corner or Home Goods! Or . . . other stuff!"

[ Time to wander away... and straight to finding a way to the fifth floor, taking out a luxury ball to consider it as he goes. ]

The panel of buttons reads as follows:
5F:

The 5F button has been torn out of the panel.

There is the counter up front, with no one manning it, just like there was in the Inner Prison, but there is a laminated menu taped to it.

[ Going to check out the menu then. ]

I do hope this isn't a limited menu.
